Lovely colours and composition. The spine draws the eye into the picture. Lovely shot.
One small suggestion... Lose, or fade down to a minimum, the watermark. If people want to steal your pics, I've been told there are ways of removing it anyway, so it's no real deterrent to a determined art thief.
I don't know much about the watermark deal ^^" I just check the option when uploading it. I don't know how to make my own, or if there is even a way to edit the one that DA provides ^^" Any information you might be able to provide on watermarks would be greatly appreciated :3
I think you will find the advice on watermarks in the FAQ section.
I've never used them myself. I'm not making money out of my pics, and am sharing them freely, as long as I get suitably credited for my work, and a link so I can see the end result.
I tried looking there, and, unfortunately didn't find anything on them
I'm attempting to make a career out of photography, so far it's not been going anywhere lol. It's just something I love to do, and if I could make a living off of it, that would be wonderful. But, back-ups are needed, so I'm going to college for completely unrelated things haha. So, here I am, posting my photos, hoping that maybe some people think it's good enough to buy. And you know, my dream career would be taking animal and nature photos for, I dunno, National Geographic or something ^^" And right now, if I can make decent money off of it on here, though that's a slim chance, it would really work with my home and school schedule and transportation issues ^^"
I checked out the FAQ on watermarks, all it says is that you can activate them at the submissions stage, or not, as is your own preference. I thought it was possible to adjust the density of them as some seem harsher and more invasive than others.
Maybe someone else can help with that one.
I have been on dA for 11 months, and have enabled prints of very many of my pics, and I haven't sold a single one, despite getting some very approving comments on them. I think maybe you have to push the selling side of it. I'm not here to make money, although it would be nice if I could. I'm here to share my pics with anyone who can derive pleasure or enjoyment from them.
I'd love to see some used in other's creations/manipulations, and see myself credited for it, but I am NOT seeking self-promotion, unlike so many on dA.
I hate all this... "Like Me On Facebook, or Twitter", etc. All that stuff is just plastic! Reality doesn't come from those places.

Otherwise...
